How about a "mytextcheck" can't remember the number (have a google) and you text the reg to; ????? and it comes back with info if been in crash, no. of owners etc

I did a check at www.carcheckonline.co.uk

It tells you everything except if there's any outstanding finance though.

Well do for goodness sake -and your own- find a fiver for the RAC to check it out for you. The cost of getting it wrong is not worth a tiny saving.
