As some will have seen I need to repair or replace my front bumper.
I have made an offer on one and a pair of wings.

The million dollar question is
Can you fit a bumper and a couple of wings in a W210 saloon and still have room for the driver and a Labrador?

If I can't I will have to use my 4x4
4x4 250miles. 4.3/4hrs & £58
E220 250miles. 3.1/2hrs & £35

If I could remove the rear seat pad this would be no problem.
Or if the wings would fit in the boot I maybe would have the rear passenger seat for the dog.

What to do?

Ta

Steve

How do you unclip the seat pad?

I feel a kicking myself moment comming

Yes, you will easily fit it in, place the bumper in the front passenger footwell and over the seat which is laid flat.

I fit 2x bumpers and 2x sideskirts in my W202 with ease years ago.

I have also fit 5x 6ft fence posts in aswell (that was difficult as my rear seats dont fold down).

Reach under the front corner of the seat to the plastic grips, press down on the seat slightly while squeezing the grips and voilla...

Hi Dieselman
Won't that just reveal where the battery is?
I would like to remove the back to access the boot.

Thanks

Steve

I would like to remove the back to access the boot.

I maybe wrong here, but I think the fuel tank is behind the rear seats on a W210 saloon? and none fold down.

Also to add: I have recently fit an entire W202 leather interior (2x front seats and the rear bench/seats) into my car when I picked it up :D

Think thats W124 Karl

Well if I can fit it all in and the dog then I will risk taking the car.

I would have liked access through the boot though just to be sure.

Thanks all

Steve

I know,

Why not just fit the wings and the bumpers as soon as you get them - problem solved.

Yes, no...?

err um No.:wallbash:

I would either have to drive 120 miles without the bumper and wings or i will still have a set to bring back.
Suppose it would be good practice though!

Many Thanks

Steve

No, just dump your wings and bumper with one of the ever with us tatters in a Transit pick-up

I can't fit it in

Looks like I will never know if I could fit all the bits in or not.

The seller has backed out of the sale. He tells me he is going to sell the car complete.

Not happy.:(

Suppose it was too good to be true. Bumper and 1 possibly 2 wings for £75
A good deal even with a 4 hour round trip.

Back to the drawing board.
