Cannot be right!!!!!!!

Filled up with 200 miles left to go acoirding to sat nav. Got to Plymouth and filled up again costing £13.05 @ 99.9 p per litre. My calculations make it 67mpg....have i done something wrong. ????? Should it not be around 30mpg

£13.05/99.9p = 2.61 Gallons ish

200/13.05 x 2.61 = 40mpg ish

No? :confused::D

I did .......

£13.05/99.9pence = 13.06 litres

13.06 litres * 0.22 to convert to gallons = 2.873

195 miles covered / 2.873 gallons = 67.87 MPG:crazy:

Its used more fuel than 13litres to cover 195 miles. You've not filled it up properly or its not "wanted" to take in more fuel.

You're right, it can't.
When filling wait for the diesel foam to subside then fill again. Some foam more than others.

Your maths is correct...unlike some..;)

Well we wont mention the maths from others...... Do you know i never realised Diesel foamed......maybe thats why it did not take alot........

I drove a Range Rover from Preston to Southampton.... well over 200 miles.... on less than two gallons of petrol.

Admittedly, I broke down at Wigan and went the rest of the way on the back of an RAC truck.............
.

OI! Thats my "vague maths" !!!!

My car does 60 miles to a tenner so roughly 30mpg :D See?

When not done in Womens shopping maths it's 24.5mpg..

Best put a calculator in your handbag..

Why, does it make untoward noises.??

And how do you know you wouldn't like mine better, might suit you...:D

Though not today since I came off my bike...:o

Lately my merc has been doing 11mpg around town. Maybe my right foot is getting heavier.
