Car Giant really do cover all ends of the market!

Have you noticed how the car barely fits on their turntable - that must have taken some very careful positioning. Also amusing to note that even with a price tag of £230k, they still want their £91 admin fee on top. :) And I wonder if the buyer will end up paying the £25 cash handling fee. :dk:

Still, might pop along for one of their free test drives...

How funny!

The interior in black with the sliver dash looks absolutely awful though.

I wonder if this belonged to the owner / md of Car Giant. Difficult to see a car supermarket having bought it into stock.

What an awful looking car - just goes to show money doesn't necessarily buy taste.

In the flesh, these cars are immense! I once parked next to one in my Range Rover....made the Rangie look quite small! lol

The colour and setting in the Car Giant photos don't do it any favours. The one below looks a little more appealing, and it would look better still on the French Riviera. However, I think these cars are pretty much the preserve of the bling merchants nowadays.

Perhaps history will view them differently but , to my eye , the styling of the front end just looks dreadful .

The last RR which I feel looked acceptable was the Silver Spirit , although even that looked a cheapened version of the Silver Shadow , the styling of which I much prefer .

They are all large cars : I parked my W126 next to a Silver Shadow a few weeks ago , and the Shadow dwarfed even the S Class - the Shadow is one of the few non-Mercedes I still have a hankering for , but I know cheap ones are money pits on a scale beyond any Mercedes .

Customer: Oh hello... i'm looking to downsize...
CG: excellent, whats your budget?
Customer: This is not important...
CG: Very well, do you see something of interest?
Customer: Oh yes, that polo , yes, that polo is the one...
CG: Do you have a Part Exchange?
Customer: Yes, can i trade in my Phantom Drophead coupe aka Cabriolet,..

its bizarre how this did come into their network.. at this price, i would not buy from them!

Have to agree there, i hanker after a Roller too. But my 126 makes so much more sense. And the money pit thing is too true, theres a whole host of possible problems, rust and brake issues. Shame. Wouldnt apply to the Phantom drophead though!
I've taken up wedding driving to sate my lust for RR, and now i get to drive a beautiful Bentley S3 sometimes from 1962-ish. Makes me very happy :)

Had a MK2 Shadow some years ago, 1981, last of the line, silly low miles (50000 odd from memory), but it was an awful drive. My W123 280E (same sort of age, twice the miles) was much nicer. For a sense of occasion though, nothing could touch it.

The Harvey Bailey handling kit transformed the suspension, but unaltered the Shadow was a wallowing pig.

Sort of a reverse Tardis though - huge on the outside, yet seemingly small inside.

Truly awful styling. The front end is particularly hideous.
