Hi guys,

I've recently picked up an 04 SL55 and I've just received an MBU-3000 Bluetooth unit to plug in to the 6310 cradle in the arm rest.

I plugged the unit in (after choosing the software settings) and I t immediately lit up (which I took to be a good sign!). It started flashing all of the front lights every few seconds but the car says no phone connected and the flashing pattern just continues.

It won't respond to any button presses etc for pairing and I can't find any information in the booklet or on the web.

Has anyone had any similar issues? Any idea what's going on?

Thanks!

Have you added the Viseeo device to your phone? Search for bluetooth devices with your phone and add it to the list. The hold down the pairing button on the Viseeo for a few seconds and it should connect.

I've not paired to it yet but holding down the pairing button doesn't do anything as it appears to be stuck in this "flashing all lights" mode..

I did go through the motions and checked on my iPhone for a bluetooth connection but the viseeo isn't showing up.

Ok, the plot thickens..

I changed the software settings on the back of the viseeo and plugged it back in. The car said "Initialising phone" for quite some time. I gave up and switched the software back (nothing changed on screen when I unplugged) and put it back in.

I noticed on the way home that it said "No phone connected - phone error" on the screen and I couldn't get it to do anything (unplugging/plugging the viseeo didn't trigger any activity).

Then, as I was putting the viseeo back in to the car it sprang to life! I managed to pair my phone and it took over my phone call but the car was still saying "No phone connected - error".

I got out the car to let it all switch off and got back in - back to square one again now!

I've checked the pins on the cradle and they seem ok. Very frustrating!

Are the jumper setting switches on the back of the viseeo in the correct position?

Initially, yes. But that was when the car wasn't detecting any phone at all.

Then I switched to a different setting and it said it was initialising the phone..

At work at moment my manual is at home, will have a look later this evening.

Yep, confirmed. The MBU-3000 is not compatible with a Nokia 6310i cradle if it is UHI based.

I've now ordered the MBU-BT4 as a swap in cradle instead!

similar issue

Hi,

I recently purchased a 2003 SL55 and also bought the ViseeO mbu-3000. The origional car phone was a 6310i (with cord) in the centre arm rest.

The phone connects to the car no problem and ViseeO appears on the dash, I am then able to view my phonebook and make calls but the phone only stays connect for a couple of minutes then I have to reconnect.

I have tried both software settings 'A' and 'B' but still the same happens. The phone I am usings is a Samsung Galaxy S4.

Hope someone can help.

You'd like to think they'd cured it by the s4, but Samsung's, and some other androids, have a history of Bluetooth disconnecting from some devices. There's an app on the store called Bluetooth Keepalive which can fix this problem if that's the one you're suffering from.

Hi
I have just bought (finally) an MBU3000 which I had understood was the correct one for the E320Cdi Elegance with Audio 20 audio system. The thing connects and displays the phonebook and allows dialling from the keypad but no sound at all through the audio system. I can't think what could be the matter and wondered if anyone had any experience of this problem before I send it back! Thanks...

I have exactly the same problem as the author of the first post - flashing lights and unable to do anything else with it - i dont quite follow the bit about the settings and the software?? the car is a 2007 320clk
