Car Strange after service

Hi all I have a E270 CDI on A 03 plat. Had it for year and just had first service with me a D+ at a indie. Also had gearbox service and reset.

Since then car much smoother etc byt my MPG are poor / not as good for example on a 6 mile trip to work on A roads get around 30-32 mpg used to get 34-37mpg. Even on a half hour drive do not get near 40 mpg. I have reset the clock.

Any ideas ?

Also my car still jerks on low speed acceleration around 20mph and on the occasion will hunt for revs.

It will jerk if I put into 1st same as.in drive so I not sure if it is the gearbox ?

i reckon the gearbox needs to "learn" your driving style again

does it get up to temperature 90 degrees ish? May just be a coincidence not related to the service and your thermostat has stuck open so the motor is not working at optimal temp. After 20 mins mine is at working temp after fitting new stat and MPG up by at least 5 on a run.

Yes temp okay, had the thermostat changed few months ago also

EGR is an exhaust gas recirculation valve, it can block and restrict performance, assuming of course that your car has one, not all diesels have them.

I had the Sd ehen it was serviced spoke with guy today no faults.

dont look for codes.full test of chain.if he does it properly he can point it out.

So what is ful test of chain? Sorry to sound dumb mate

it is a function test of the devices.for example maf,secondary air injection,catalyric conv etc.. Need help?

Just done a 48mile trip most of it 60-70mph then dropping into urban roads 30-40mph and got a mpg of 33 is that good or bad certainly not what used to be. I have E270 cdi on a 03 plate
