Car wont start after replacing battery

Hi guys

My Battery an my CLK 270 D died overnight. I did a jump start off another vehicle and it started for a few minutes, when i started to drive ff the car died. I tried to jump again but it just kept turning over. I then bought and fitted a new battery however it wont start. It just turns over but doesnt start.
PLEASE HELP. !!!! Damo

With diesels its almost always a fuel supply problem. Fuel pump problem, defective engine stop solenoid, dodgy alarm/immobiliser - anything that prevents the engine getting fuel. Any decent diesel engine shop or MB specialist should be able to help. A further thought most modern cars have a series of fuseable links for various subsytems just after the battery main positive lead- you may have blown one of these when you changed the battery. check all the fuses also.

Can you lock the car, indicators flash when locking etc?

yes, everything seems fine other than it wont start. Its as though its been immobilise. ??

Disconnect battery and leave it half an hour, try again...

I will try that . Its really strange its as though the car is starve of fuel but its turning over.

If it doesnt work i w=guess its a diagnostic machine on monday . !!
