pulled the door card off to tinker with the electric window motor and now seem to have no central locking.

I've looked at the russian site and the diagram looks straight forward enough but of course all the bits in the way are not shown..

Could someone advise on how to trouble shoot vacuum system - it hisses happily with the engine running, doesn't work on doors or boot.

All the locks still work with the key - not tried the headlights yet.

Will check fuses etc. in morning.

It's probably the door you have had the card off has the problem. You have either split or disconnected the pipe.
Running down th insides of the sills are the vacuum pipes and there are T pieces to connect to it. You can disconnect and block the T connectors to check the rest of the system or crimp the pipe with pliers and a cloth..

Something in the dark recesses, of what is possibly my brain, is a thought. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that the window motors need to be connected before the Cent Locking will work. Having read your other post about the waterlogged window motor, have you dried it out and reconnected it?

Yep all back together apart from the door card which is sat in my hallway..

It did seem to occur after I took the motor out.. I'll try it again tomorrow - can I short the connections to check if the motor that is the problem (or will it blow a fuse?)

The other possibility is I managed to pull the pipe away from a connector somewhere - Presumably the vacuum pipe is the one that runs along the bottom of the door and then arcs round to the lock.

I'll have another look in the morning...

thanks for the helpful responses.

Got in the car today to drive across town (looking at wooden floors:rolleyes:) - seat belt presenters also out.

Turns out it was a blown fuse C - all now works as normal (apart from the window motor - replacement on the way)..

Fuse C - rear roof light, trunk light, rear door locking system, safety belt handover arm, seat back arrestor, (central locking system), door lights, reading lamps, aut. antenna, control unit seat adjustment)

Any idea what could have blown the fuse - I suspect its something to do with my window tinkering..?

Ade (off to buy spare fuses..)
