Any ideas guys or basic checks/quick fixes I can do to try and figure out the issue?
A couple of months ago both my keys started to work intermittently. I put this down to leaving them out in the cold when I was running but then they started to not work more regularly. I often had to open up the key and open up the car manually with the actual key, which set off the alarm. The key fob still worked to start the car without any issues.
I replaced the batteries in both keys a few weeks ago, and I still had the same problem straight away, but the next day, my normal central locking was back and I could open/lock the car from a good distance. I put the issue down to the batteries however a few days ago the problem has started again, and I am opening/locking the car by putting the key fob right up against the infrared scanner on the door handle and pressing the button until it works. I didn't have a strong light on the actual key fobs when pressing the buttons before the battery change which would suggest it was a battery issue until it stopped working again with the new batteries in after a few weeks?
No tints, modifications or any other issues I can think of!
