I have a SLK (2002)and the locking has gone mad, started unlocking itself, alarm going off, locking on acceleration unlocking under braking.....
Now it drains the battery
Any ideas????

Just like in a good Western...hang it high.

Thanks for your help, unfortunately it was dry , no sign of water & after disconnecting I've still got a drain!
Any. More ideas are really welcome

Earth fault maybe, life to earth, bared wire? I remember a car I had once that when you braked the fuel sensor went to full and changing gear caused the temp gauge to hit maximum, turned out to be a faulty earth strap from the battery to the body.
