Cheap C32?

It's a low price for a C32, but that's a fairly early car (51 plate) with high mileage (103K), and so the price is probably about right?

I'd imagine it might be better to spend slightly more for a lower mileage, younger car IMHO - although it's obviously dependant on budget etc.

Be interesting to see how well the C32s stand up to the test of time and mileage in the coming years, I think there's a few posts regarding glycol problems - but other than that and the IC pumps there doesn't seem to be much else from what I've seen - I'm thinking mileage/use related stuff - gearboxes, suspension etc.

It does seem cheap when you look at some of the higher priced '43s though, eg:

Yeah, the C32 seems value for money, although with the early reg and higher miles it might be better to not jump in. Interested to see how the car has been driven and serviced...also what goes wrong at around 100k on the C32 engine? Does the early W203 suffer from rust?

Nice C43 too. Does anyone know how the W202 4.3L V8 compares with the W203 3.2L V6? Note, the V6 is supercharged.

I think the '32 is a fair bit faster than the more lazy V8 - you're looking at 350bhp and quite a lot of torque since it's a supercharged engine.

Autocar road tested one famously at 4.6 seconds 0-60!!:eek:

I think at the £10K mark that they are approaching, they make a very tempting buy, purely from a performance point of view in that generation MB lineup :)

I agree, newer tech and definatly a nice interior. Less bling than the c43.
