Check brake wear message - C220 (2018)

An amber “check brake pad wear” message has appeared on the display. The car had already been booked in for a service in around 3 weeks so the pads can be replaced fairly quickly. In the interval I expect I’ll be covering around 400 - 600 miles in mainly mixed town/country environments.

I’m guessing that there’s around 3-4mm left on the pads and, provided I go easy on the pedal I should be okay.

Does that seem right? If the pads move close to “metal on metal” will another warning appear?

You will hear metal on metal if you wear them out .
Just drive carefully and they should last .
