Found this in the car park this morning, Lebanese registered, and I guess that's where the surgery was performed. Interesting though, never seen this mod before, looks good, only no retracting roof.

Once everything else is done on my coupe and i get the bug to do some more modifying i'm considering one of those kits although i'd get a proper looky at them first before parting with cash and chopping my car up.

What engine are you putting in it?

got a mildly warmed up Pontiac small block to go in it, makes just under 300bhp at the mo, with loads more potential.

Re the W123 , it doesn't suit a convertible Merc to have the roof showing that way when it is down. Ruins the lines of the car.

i think it depends on the age, i quite like the way the hood sits up on the back on older cars, plus it means you still have a useable boot.
