Chrome polish

so not trying to hijack the topic, so i cant do anything but a refurb for my carlssons..

I did mention before that it may be possible to polish them with a drill and polishing wheel. Ollys were coming up great, they've never looked so shiney!

Get some Autosol or similiar metal polish and just spend a 10 minutes doing a small section by hand, if it starts to improve it then you know you may well be able to restore the polished lip with a few hours work.

Do you know where I can get a polishing wheel? Olly's wheels did look good yesterday! I have to do mine by hand at the moment :crazy:
 
hey guys what about my dishes, they have gotten a bit grubby over the winter i was just going to have them redone after the winter months.. but if i can improve them to a shine that would be great...

try using white toothpaste and a tooth brush followed by either brasso or my preference Solvo Autosol

Ive tried toothpaste on my teeth doesn't really work, but thanks Ian i'll try Solvo instead:D
 
Will be using Autosol to get the shine on the 3 point star on the bonnet.
Found it cheaper than Halfords (£5.99) was £4.49 on ebay inc postage from a number of sellers for a 75ml tube.
 
I would recommend brilliant zeppelin range. They come in different grades like compounds and polishes and work fantastic with a dremel tool. Combined these and you can make a huge difference to something you thought was gone to far to fix.
