My side chrome strips are a bit "bumpy". Is replacement the only way forward and has anyone replaced theirs already?

chrome or plastic?

I suspect replacements will be cheap enough if they are plastic.

Hmm. Not totally sure. I suspect then are chrome effect plastic...

I've ordered the chrome strip and we'll see how easy it is to remove the old one and fit the new one.

Well a parcel arrived from Latvia this morning and it was my new Chrome Strip!

This was the new one wrapped in film to protect it while one fits it.

Trim removed, now remove glue. I kind of rolled it up!

Red is the backing tape and the clear protects the front of the trim.

Sorry for the dreadful photography, done one handed on my phone in strong sunlight!!

This worked so well that I might do the passenger door strip. Has any one got a new one in their stocks?

Great job.
