Chugging

Hello,

I'm new to this but looked at this site earlier this year as I started having problems.
I have had my clk220cdi 56 plate for a year now and the chugging has got worse.it is only the first 10 mins of when its cold start. Then it runs perfectly.
Air flow mass has been changed Komp reconditioned,terraclean, serviced and 4 garages later no one knows the problem. All diagnostics came up ok in garages. I even started off at a merc. dealer, where they told me it was the air flow mass meter and it wasn't.
Left the car with the garages so they can see on driving the car rather than their machines. It just seems to miss fire and splutters like mad. Not sure what else to do.
Any help please?

You probably need Star [ and a tech who knows how to use it] to get a live data readout and not just error codes. Sounds as if the diesel engine fuelling is simply not compensating enough for a cold engine. Could be glow plugs could be cold fuel control. Google diesel engine chugging and you will find its a very common problem.
