CL 500 rattle

CL 500 '08 new to me.

Getting a passenger seat/door metallic rattle when the seat is unoccupied - driving me nuts. There have been a couple of occasions when the seatbelt wont reel out unless the door is re-closed. Is it likely these are connected?

Any help much appreciated.

Only happens when there is no-one in the passanger seat. If I push the seat back sideways it stops.

Got to be a seat mounting issue?

Fixed it - it was (strangely enough) the plastic trim at the base of the seat rubbing (clicking) on itself. Strategically placed WD40 solved the problem.
