A vehicle dismantler that I have just visited says that he installed facelift centre console into a pre-facelift Cl203.
I understoood that this was a different system, yet he says it was ok & had full integration with the cluster.
Does anyone have any info on this, please??
Many thanks

Are you talking about the radio ? or the armest with UHI ?

Centre console usually refers to the area below the dashboard up to the armrest. As for the conversion .... need more information.

Hi Miro,
I mean the part from the centre air vents to the armrest, including the centre switch unit and the radio and swopping this to the newer console with the squarer buttons & audio 20(instead of audio 10) style stereo or comand. I have 2003 C-coupe.
Thank you

I did this to my car and so did Sunman in Houston. Sure it works if you fit ALL of the parts.

So just which parts are needed??
Full list please, if possible. Thank you again, Miro :)

Ok, I have searched Sunmans posts & found relevant ones, (although he used a w209 cluster- I presume it will be simpler with a facelift w203 cluster, although 209 is nicer!)
Thanks for the pointer in right direction.

Miro, would you confirm re your upgrade whether you changed the cluster too? I presume this has to be done, but if so then I think I would have to change the dash too as my dash has the older shape around the cluster of 3 curves(higher centre curve), whereas the facelift has a single oval curve around the cluster.
I just wanted to check whether the rest of the bits can be changed, but retain the cluster??

Thank you for your patience.

Just been looking on MBenzNL and it looks like they have fitted a W209 cluster
but retained the original centre console.
Is there much involved with this? I presume a lot of STAR coding, but is the cluster a straight swop(apart from the dash surround as above) or would other parts be needed?

Also, for the W209 steering wheel, is there anything else required apart from the wheel itself?
