A friend who is new to Mercs is looking at getting a 2000 CL600. Anything worth noting about them to look out for? I will go along with him to look at the car and to egg him on.

Might be worth checking all the electrical bits work OK, seats etc. Also check there are no suspension knocks with the ABC system, I had a problem with my old CL500, and sometimes notice a knocking sound in my current CL, but it's not yet bad enough to take into the dealers.
Unless his heart is set on a V12 (370bhp) he could get a CL55 for the same money (360bhp) with the extra AMG body kit and wheels, plus a great V8 soundtrack.
The 600 comes with more pretty much everything as standard, however a spec'ed up CL55 will match a 600's spec.
Eitherway, both are great cars!

Thanks, I had not even thought of the 55 as I just assumed it would be way more.
