Agree that wax/seal etc needed after polishing.

Defo, but panel wipe or IPA required after polishing but before wax or that is applied.

I've been using Carlack on my car for the last 3 years and it is great (no need to wipe between polish and final) . I struggle to find a reason to use something else but...I like trying stuff.

I personally wouldn't use any type of sealant without removing all polish residue, even a small amount of residue which you won't be able to see with the naked eye, will reduce the bond between the sealant and the paint, thus reducing bonding and lifespan.

It is what I have used on the car from new and it is following the manufacturers instructions. I guess different products work differently.
