Can anyone please suggest any good products for cleaning MB-Tex. Basically i have just purchased a 2003 C270 with very high mileage and it looks like the interior has never been cleaned. Its the Cream colour so its showing loads of grime! Im reluctant to use household type cleaners without seeking advice first. In addition im told by the previous owner that the Tex had been treated with something?? by the Merc main dealer which makes it even harder to clean, this could account for it being a bit sticky to touch in places. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Use autosmart G101, its an all purpose cleaner, just mix it weak and try it on an area where you cant realy see just to be on the safe side. www.autosmart.co.uk Email them and get the contact details of your local rep.
I've also tried 303 Areospace cleaner http://www.303products.com/ , A whole lot more expensive but not any better results
My interior is light grey and the G101 keeps it tip top

Fairy Liquid solution (weak) and a nail brush. Work into the surface and then wipe off. Wipe again with freash water and buff dry.

I use SIMONIZ Foam Action Upholstery Cleaner, comes in 500ml aerosols.
This is inexpensive and a can 'goes a long way'.
Removes dirt and stains from fabric, vinyl, leather and velour upholstery also trim and carpets/overmats. Safe and gentle.

stardrops is great for it and cheap, used it on my 123 for years with no ill effects

Groom!

Have now cleaned the interior using an aerosol from local motor factor called Groom. Works absolutelty excellent and i highly recommend.
