Hey guys, I know this a product and method that many of you don't believe works, Most of you also know that I'm a big fan of BH Autofoam for its cleaning power, but the downside s that it's very thin and doesn't give you much working time to do other areas while it's working, and some worry about hi PH levels not being LSP safe.

Well here is a brand new product brand to the market that has been developed over the lastv2 years by a detailing company called Detail Driven. They are a specialist in car detailing and Modesta coatings.
The Foam is PH Neutral, with a good swell time and a decent amount of foam. It rinses of the panel very well, and cleans extremely wellIve tested this myself against BH Autofaom at the same PIR.

I mixed 200mls of product to 300mls of water giving g me a PIR of 2.5%. Coated the car and left to dwell for a good 15mins before it started to dry.

As you can clearly see from the pics, then foam actually removed 95% of the soiling from the paintwork, the car hadn't been cleaned for 2 weeks and only had a small amount of protection left from the wowos Crystal sealant that applied 6months ago.

I also tried this on the wheels, and again also removed the majority of the brake dust and grime

Next time I have the faom I'll try it half the dilution rate tob1.25%PIR to see how it performs

The Foam cannon is also made and supplied by Detail Driven, it's a wide next bottle, and quite short, it still holds a litre of water and is very sturdy meaning it doesn't topple over like my AB lance.

The Full product range goes live on the 16th November with a full line up of detailing products, towels, mitts etc etc and shall update you with the link to the site then
In the meantime if you want to try these products contact detail driven Detail Driven.

Does look good that I must admit. I did try snowfoam many moons ago and just never found it really did much, certainly didn't offer any more than a once over with a pressure washer. I did move onto Citrus Pre-Wash which seems to work very well and more so using a pressure washer to remove it.

That certainly seems to offer a good clean though. An almost touchless wash! :)

Hey Alex, I e tried dozens of products and snow foams, and BH Autofoam is about the best in terms of cleaning power, it only has 2 downside, 1its very thin, now that's good for cleaning as it has more wetting agents, but in the summer it dries out too fast, and second having a long dwell time allows you to clean the wheels while the foam is working on the paint
Its aslo very high in PH and although it rated LSP safe, it will still degrade it. This new foam wont replace BH for me, but it will be 1 have in my ****nal for general maintenance and will be fantastic for well protected paint too.

I also use citrus, but most apply citrus first them foam after, I do it the other way round because it makes more sense to remove light soiling and dust first before adding citrus to the paint and then agitation where needed around the mirrors badges rubbers, seals etc.
.
Again everyone has their preference, there are so many safe wash routines now that it gets confusing for some, I try new techniques every week to find new ways that make me more efficient and yet still getting the same end results

Hope you're keeping well,

It look like good stuff i may get some for the summer months when you have to be a bit faster with BH snow foam.

On another note I have been after one of those SF cannons for a while but forgot all about them but you have just reminded me so i'll be googling again this afternoon.

Looks like strong stuff...it’s washed all your green pain off...

Dude..its really good stuff, when I tested it against BH, it swelled for 3 times longer.. that's long enough to clean all 4 wheels while waiting for the foam to work.

As for the cannon, really is top notch, makes my Auto brite one look like an Ebay special.

Like I said tho, they product launch isn't till 16th buddy, so will update on here with the full details

I'm surprised you have anything negative to say about BH.....;)

Would you like to come and demo the product on my car. Its beed stood dirty (not filthy but not clean) in the garage for about 3 weeks and the dirt is now nicely baked on! :(

Rory, as said buddy, Bh is always gonna be my favourite, but it's not always needed, esp on say a ceramic coated car such as my AMG, but to get some real world testing done I used it on an Non coated car.

I'll happily come and detail your car
. But you may not want to pay my fees Lol

Here you go guys,

For the full line up of detailing products have a look. I f your in the market for a new lance and want to try some new products, definitely give these a go.

I can personally vouch for the cannon, citrus or wash. S foam, and drying towels, and will be trying others soon

Id be interested how much lsp it will strip considering you used 200ml of product mixed with 300ml water!

Bud, it diluted it that way to give a fair comparison to how I use BH Autofoam, the directions on the bottle state 200ml to a full cannon. But by doing it that way you have no idea what the PIR is. This is a very important part of the process as all foam cannons and pressure washes will run at different levels.

As for removing LSP. Its PH7, so is going to be as LSP safe as possible.. and does not matter how strong you mix it, it will still stay relatively close to that, it's just gives you a longer dwell time.

Yes the PIR is important in regards to BH autofoam cos BH state it needs to hit the panel at a certain ratio, so generally you go on what the manufacturer gives for their product ratio which in your case was 200ml to a 1l cannon..

Cheers Lee i'll be ordering the Cannon tonight certainly beats the Chemical guys eye watering £98 for the big mouth cannon.

I'm pretty well stocked for everything else as i have been treating myself to a few bits lately ;)

Thanks Lee, ordered the snow foam. Crazy easy website when using apple pay 👍🏻

Pir is important with every product IMO.. for instance 200ml of foam to 800 water will have a different PIA depending upon what set you have.. that's all I'm saying dude.

Hey guys , glad you ordered some bits, the cannon is really good, it can be adjusted to work horizontally or vertically.. and the filter can be cleaned by just pulling out the spring clip.

I also used the citrus today on a really dirty car at 10/1 as a prewash, allowed to dwell for a few mins and was amazed how how good it was.

Ahh good stuff buddy, it comes with an Oring for the adapter, but for piece of mind add some PTFE for good measure.

Don't different cannons mix/dilute at different ratios? Is the BH guidance mumbo jumbo to confuse consumers? It does confuse me as to how manufacturers can specify a set ratio across the board of applicators?

Yes Rory, all cannons can vary in end dilution ratios, that's why they give a recommended PIR so you know what your working
with. It's just the majority of Manufacturers cant be bothered to tell you that. Hell knows why not. As the kit they are testing it with will most likely be far different to the majority of users.

Again that's why I always work in PIR eith everything that goes through a cannon
