clk 2.7 cdi problem with engine

my name is Cezary new member. hi everyone. i have my clk 2.7 cdi 3 weeks

. i have problem with my clk 2.7 cdi 53 reg. i bought 3 weeks ego. Was driving fine no problems to one day i go to start run for 30 seconds and stop and i could'nt start , so i look in the fuel filter if is diesel and was empty, so i thinking diesel was'nt getting to the fuel filter so i put diesel in to a can and tried to start and i was right. car start with no problem and run. so i thinking have a problem in the fuel tank, so i did open and look in the tank but is only fuel sender unit. i have got about 1/4 tank diesel showing on the gauge. but what i see, tank have "two part "saddle tank, left side (driver side) and right side (passenger side). right side is full of diesel, left no diesel at all. so what i have done i override sender unit i put fuel line going to fuel filter in to diesel and return to the left side of the tank and i start the car and was running fine with no problem, and diesel was returning as well. so i don't understand why is no diesel on the left side of the tank?

The problem is likely to be the return on the high pressure diesel pump, this causes the vacuum which balances the fuel tanks

the return pipe in the tank, diesel was coming out fast about one liter a 30-40 seconds ?

did any one now where to send high pressure pump to repair and how much will estimate cost ? thanks

Also check your fuel lines from the filter to the HP pump, these often give this symptom when the o rings degrade and allow air into the system. Easy replacement
