clk 200 tuning help needed.

Hi i have a clk 200 2001 manual with 175k good s/h,question is i need more power,don't have the money for a new car,could i get the car chipped for extra power, would it be ok with the mileage on the car,the car runs great with no problems just need the extra power.thanks for any help.

An estimate of about 1-2k+ power increase is all depends how far you want to go.

Sorry, not possible to gain 30 bhp on n/a m111 without hardware upgrades. Expensive upgrades.

In that case cheapest is a pulley upgrade to make the SC spin up fsster. Check out the ASP racing website

I thought the 200K's had 193 bhp ( almost the same as a 230k )

If it is supercharged, tis a different ballgame. No ecu upgrade is needed before 210 bhp. Just pulley , then exhaust mods.

It was the early 230k's that had 193 before going up to 197.

For 500 quid a pully and a map is very doable. Sorry I thought yours was just a 200 not a K.

Ah yes , there was a higher output CLK 200K , i wasn't going mad. It was the later model.

Does a CLK200 K really do 158mph? (as per the wiki link!)

Seems more than I would have expected for a 2.0 car.
