CLK 209 with M272 Engine

Not an answer to your question, I'm afraid, but I've had some success with a DIY fix on my CLK with the M113 (I think) V8 (definitely) engine.

With the engine off, remove the large plastic dust cover from the idler pulley, then using a small bladed screwdriver (e.g. jeweller's screwdriver) carefully lever off the grease seal, making sure not to bend it. Spray a small quantity of white grease into the exposed bearing. Re-assemble.

Hey presto! A quieter idler pulley. Now I can hear the auxilliary air pump much more clearly...

Heloo!
I have a serpentine belt idler puller that's started to squeak a little bit when cold.

It's the one at the top of the engine, so is this: Ina Mercedes-Benz | Euro Car Parts UK?s No.1 Car Parts Retailer the right part?

and..

Is it fairly straight-forward to fit, or does it need specialist tools to remove it?

Many thanks :D

Unsure to the answer to your question , but I had this problem with my first w209 clk before I sold it !! Wondering if this is a common problem ? What milage is yours ?
