Hello experts,

I really want your help, because I tried to fix many pbs and one still pending without solution.
Here is my story :)
I have a CLK 270 CDI 2003.

I had a check engine light on for two month and I didn't checked the pb.
After that 2 months, I noticed some fuel coming out from the bottom of the engine. My friend who is a specialist on mechanics find that the up bolt's injector was not well tight. It took 5 minutes to avoid the fuel leak.
But the checkengine light still on. We cleaned the EGR, the pressure converter (that I replaced by new) and I replaced the MAF.
I was then able to clean the check engine light, and I won all the strenght of the car.

But the engine began to smoke black, and during acceleration, a dark smoke is coming out. So we changed the manifold, that was very worn.
Now, the sound of the engine is better, and the smoke is not yet black but grey, and non stop. If idle it smokes, and when driving too. The checkengine light is off.
We had no idea of that, we checked every hose, everything. And while doing an acceleration, I have a lack of acceleration when I reach 3000 rd/min. If I force the acceleration I can go over 3000 rd /min but sometimes, the checkengine is on. when I turn off the car, and turn on the check engine is sometimes off (when no hard acceleration).

Can you please help me on that pb? :dk:

with thanks,
Saad

If it is down on power in the high rev's then I would look at possibly a blocked catalytic converter.

Hi Mickybo,

thank you for your answer.
I forgot in my last message that I read the diag error message, and it is a P0238 - Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Sensor 'A' Circuit High.

Should I still take a look at catalytic converter?

thanks,

Blocked cat or sticky turbo.
