CLK 430 Cabrio

It's got a great spec (COMAND, parktronic, xenons, orthapaedic seats, AMG bodystyling + wheels etc), and if it really is as clean as you say I guess it could be worth the extra.

All said and done, you could no doubt find a cheaper one with a few blisters here and there and a lower spec/more miles or whatever, but £1/2k saved upfront won't buy you a nicer car in the long run.

You could always haggle :)

Thst two-tone interior is either love or hate IMHO

very nice car id love to have it.. how come the seller has it as a 91 lol

You think £7250 is a good price (if it's as good as it looks!) ?

Current owner has owned it for 4 years, claims it's very well maintained, just had a big service (including new belts?), everything works, no faults, no rust, get's 30mpg on the m/way and 20MPG around town. It's a 2000 on a V plate.

You think he'll give you a grand off ? , the one in the ad is £8250

If he's getting 30MPG on the motorway , he's driving like a vicar ( a good sign )

I drove to Manchester and back the other month in my '55, averaged high 20's MPG wise (27/28ish), that was cruising slightly above the usual 'legal limit', so I imagine that at 70mph ish 30mpg would be achievable in a 430 cab (just!) :)

You never know - worth trying to haggle on the price in a nice way, such as if things need doing.

I had one fellow offer a really low price on my car. I was in a good mood so asked him if he could explain why he selected that amount and what on the car justified it, then happy to discuss.

"I don't like the colour".

Managed to agree on a price. Just about to do an online HPI check. Is there anywhere online I can verify the factory options from the VIN number? IIRC there used to be a Russian site??

I average 27/28 in mine , cruising at much the same speeds.

30mpg is do-able driving at 70 with the air con off.

The cab won't be as aerodynamic as the coupe , and weighs 200kg more .

Some very odd is happening. The seller and I have agreed a price. I requested the VIN number so I can do a VIN check and now he's gone out of communicardo!

Shame coz I have the cash burning a hole in my sky rocket!

Looks fully loaded to me. Comand was factory fitted and it has heated seats too. Memory seats and climate was standard on the CLK430.

Jays is nicer though.

That's a matter of opinion.

I prefer the AMG styling and I think 18" wheels are too big for the original CLK. I want Xenons and Parking Sensors too, so I'm afraid that rules Jays out.

i may have another coming in... its got parktronic, not sure about xenons... will let you know details by PM later.
