CLK DVD Player

I'm looking at updating the sat nav system in my Clk500 and have seen these on eBay. Has anyone tried these as they seem a little bit to good to be true for the price.

I wouldn't bother with Chinese stuff. You are better off buying a well known brand, Pioneer, Alpine, etc.
Some people find them OK, but they seem to do all things but not very well.

Mmm it was more the fact it would look oem in my dash.
I actually have a nice double din dvd player to hand but just felt it would look a bit out of place in the dash.
They also state that the steering wheel controls would still work which is something else I didn't want to lose.

I have installed a similar unit in my CLK and it works very well.
The steering controls still work, but the dash MFD no longer shows station or phonebook names as with the old Command, and there may be issues when the clocks go forward 1 hour in the spring.

I had to get an adaptor that allowed the OEM GPS antenna cable to fit from China via ebay, and also fitted an external handsfree microphone as the built in mic was too quiet which is common on the Chinese units.
