Clk-gtr Problem

There must be more to this than they're letting on.

Why does the dealer want his purchase money back? Er, ... perhaps because his speculation has backfired spectacularly and he can't find any takers (at a profit) after 2 years of trying.

I can't believe Mercedes won't fix such a high profile car, unless of course the reason for it breaking is not covered by the warranty ...

Just call me Mr Cynical ...

It is intended to be a street car but, because of differences in safety and emissions rules between the U.S. and Europe, it cannot legally be driven on public roads here.
Hmm...they obviously bought it speculatively and now can't sell it because it can't be driven in the US.

I also can't see that suing MB USA is going to help - if they're going to sue anybody then it needs to be whoever supplied the vehicle. That may not be MB Germany - it might have been bought through an agent.

Totally agree, but the 'stealer' brigade will INSTANTLY blame the manufacturer. I would love to know the true story and l agree with you, there is clearly more to this than meets the eye, but it is definitely the 'stealers' fault. ;) ;)
