clk slow fan speed

On my 1999 clk 320 i put the fan speed on 5 and it feels and sounds as though it hasnt got the fast speed?? is this a common problem??

Could be a blocked pollen filter. Remove it to test.

Remove the trim under the glovebox (in the footwell)- should see it there
