I've noticed in the morning not sure whether its all the time or only on occasions when I start the vehicle there is a rattle which clears after a few seconds

I have read on the forums/google this could potentially be due to the timing chain being stretched or something to do with the oil, I was under the impression the earlier clk's were only affected

a local merc specialist has recommended I replace the chain as a preventative measure, and if I do not bother it will cost me long term as I will then have to change the gears etc

Can anyone put my mind at rest whether the rattle is due the timing chain or whether this is a characteristic of the vehicle, reg bf57vxd

Cheers

I've uploaded a video when the engine was first started first thing this morning

Your opinions would be appreciated <img src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png" class="smilie smilie--emoji" loading="lazy" width="64" height="64" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" data-smilie="1"data-shortname=":)" /> whether this is a characteristic of the engine or cause of concern

https://vid.me/nHNa
