CLK320 2001
Hi all

Ive had my 2001 CLK320 for about a month now and I'm loving it but it is due a B service next week, the garage i use normally has quoted me £220 inc parts etc, does this seem good value??, they are normally really thorough but is there anything i should specifically ask them to look at??

Cheers Glyn

Hi Glyn,

It depends on the age/mileage of the car, and what has been replaced in the past.

Spark plugs (x12!), air/cabin/fuel filters, brake fluid, coolant, ATF and filter etc don't need to be done every service. Check in the service book as it should tell you what needs replacing and at what age/mileage interval - should also show what was done in the past.

£220 all inc isn't expensive so long as they understand the MB requirements and appreciate that a 'B' service isn't just an oil and filter change :)

Thanks Will

They asked whether it was an A or B service and this price is for the B service, they looked it up while i was on the phone and said it was oil, air pollen filters and lots of other bits, I've looked on the Mercedes ESS and have a list of what needs doing so i will check its all included.

In that case £220 sounds almost too cheap!
