CLS 320
Hi,

I wonder if anyone could offer any help?

I have a CLS 320 (Diesel), 2007, 40k miles.

I bought it a few months ago, and the speedo said 10,000 miles to next service.

The Service D indicator came on today, (I'm guessing it's been a year since the last service).

I went into MB Guidlford, where they said it wouldn't be the 'D service', but the 'big one', quoted me over £1000+ ouch.

It has full MB service history, and I'm wondering if it is actually worth getting this 'big service' at MB, or would a decent enough garage be able to do the same service?

I'm guessing this service probably includes the auto gearbox change? Will an independent garage do this too?

Many thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Mat

ask if they do special labour rates for cars over 5 years old, a lot of main dealers will, should drop the cost a fair bit if they comply.

Thanks,

I did try something similar, they dropped the labour by 20% - although seemed a simple trick to me. Still over £95ph labour though.

:(

Hi Matt

A little further down the A3 , you've got PCS , which is owned by Ollie ( BlackC55 on here ) . He has an excellent reputation and people travel from long distances to get their cars worked on there.

I personally travel there from Hampton Court when stuff needs doing to mine.

Well worth a call , and will be substantially cheaper than main dealers.

Hi Howard,

Terrific - thank you!

I'll give him a call.

Many thanks :)

Hi again,

I can't seem to find them on the Web.

I've searched PCS, Guildford; PCS Surrey - but no luck.

Do you have the address/telephone?

Thanks

Thanks The_Don

:)

Beat me to it.

:D
