Can someone put me out of my misery please...
I have always liked the CLS but I need to get 5 in my car and as far as I am aware, they only come as a 4 seater. I am sure that I have heard it on here aswell as elswhere, that you could buy them with a 5 seat.
Does anyone honestly know?:dk:
Thank you in advance :thumb:

CLS does not have 3rd seat belt in the rear.

Plus there is large tunnel that splits the rear in two.

No way will it fit 3 passengers legally.

Never seen them with 5 seats.

They have a centre console in the back, made of wood that acts as a cubby hole, makes it sportier apparently.

CLS with the practicality of 5 seats is an E?

I understand this...
It's just that I am pretty sure someone has said that as a factory option you could have it as a 5 seater.
I may be clutching at straws, but I live in the hope there is :dk:

So would a squab from an E fit a CLS. Not a clue myself - might be worth a look. Take out CLS's devided squab and trinket box thingy plug in squab from an E and you may have what you want.

^ would that be legal though?

The V5 on a CLS would be for 4 people / insurance etc?

Are the three people in the back little people? as much as I like the CLS looks it does look cramped in the back and certainly for three?

Yes, it's for the little Sweetpeas:cool:

^ I would think getting them in and out plus all the stuff you need for little ones makes a E class estate or ML a better bet :)

OK so not as Daddy cool, well unless you went E55 or ML63 :)

Speaking of which I have seen two ML63's this weekend, both brand new and look awesome. However I've yet to be informed from my lottery syndicate that we won this weekend to will hold fire on my order :)

.....athough I've also been on pistion heads and spotted one for £35K with lots of toys :)

5 seat option was never available from factory or accessories.

E class seats will not fit because the center console that runs from the front all the way to the back is in the way

I don't know whether to thank you for putting me out of my misery or not!:thumb:

^ a better idea.

Buy one for you and one for Mrs Sweetpea and go everywhere in convoy ? you follow as I think the CLS's look cool, but while in it, its probably very similar to the E class?.

Best of both worlds

A nice car like a CLS with 3 kids in it, they'd wreck it. Your love for them would soon diminish.

An E is more workman like, and the estate ideal. An E500 for your inner well being and ability to drown their noise out (V8 and kickdown) is what you need.

An E500, I'd ****ing love one.

I really wanted a CLS too, but with the need for 5 seats, I went for an E500 and I love it.

I also think I read someone on here say something about a 3 seat factory option on the CLS.....

Alfie mentioned being offered the option HERE
