E class 2005 (comand dvd V10)

I seem to remember reading on this forum that it is possible to increase the distance prior to the "turn right now" etc: as issued by our friendly navigator. A simple 15 metres earlier would be great as I find that I get this spoken command to turn slightly AFTER the juncion or exit that I should make.

Please could anyone tell if this is possible and if so how this may be achieved?

I don't think there is any such setting that you are after. Is your speed signal OK (no VIM module)? How about your GPS antenna, do you have good GPS fix? I guess there was a DVD release that had problems like this but I thought it was way older than V10.

It may need recalibrating. I think this is a dealer only process and takes some time 2-3hours. The old CD based system coud be done from the system menu but the DVD ones do not allow this. Might be wrong but our 2005 SLK needed recalibrating. Dealer did it under warranty. Our older W209 CLK can be done from the head unit.

That would be about the speed signal calibration against the real tyre diameter, a 2005 NTG1 should take care of this automatically.
