Now running the current service update (W211 589 13 22 00)
Which has updated the firmware on the HeadUnit, CAN-T & DVD and installed the Version 7.0 disk with 2007/2008 maps (birthday pressie!).

So far lots more POIs (although I know there was a big improvement on this in 6.0 - I've jumped from 5.1 to 7.0), local petrol stations which changed hands seem to be corrected (So I can find my BP Ultimate!) and a few local map adjustments so locally the maps are up to date.

Wonder if it's possible to date the map by finding out if your local routes have been updated?

No Bird's eye view for those who are still waiting and postcode entry is unaltered (up to the first number of the incoming code only).

ETA on screen is optional but this was the firmware not the Nav disk.

A500 Stoke On Trent?

Have they updated the A500 (D round from junction 15 to 16) around Stoke on Trent. It now has new flyovers and underpasses rather than lots of roundabouts. My version 6.0 still expects me to go around roundabouts. I would be interested to know if they have got this updated.

Looks like a straight road with some impressively complex on & off ramps. Tried to get a photo off the screen of the Tunstall Western Bypass to show but it's getting dark and it was worse with the flash on!

If the road's been updated what's the earliest date would that put the map at?

Hi,

Can you post the part numbers for the V7 disk, both the A211 xxx xx xx number and the Bx xxx xx number please !!

Thanks
Richard

Looks like it's just a map update so far although there was the usual "Navigation software is loaded" message and progress bars on installing it so I'm not sure if I'm going to find any new features in use.

Certainly all the main menus appear the same.

If it is straight with impressive ramps it sounds like it is updated particularly if you are looking at the section that heads in between Stoke On Trent & Hanley.

Yep thats the place. Still a nightmare to get through but it is a tiny bit easier without the roundabouts.
