my gps aerial on my w203 has packed up and ive been quoted£170 + vat for anew one is this correct

ebay £15 aftermarket ive used them on an aps30 also the command with no problems

I have recently retrofitted a COMAND in my W203 and my unit came with an after market antenna.

Several ways to obtain one of these but to name a couple:
1. PM Alfie who will supply a top quality one.
2. Try e-bay but search for a GT5 GPS to make sure you get the correct grey connector.

These are simple plug in devices but you will need to take your dash apart to get at the back of the COMAND unit which is harder than it sounds.
Take a look at this for how to get at the COMAND unit http://www.buellwinkle.com/Comand/COMAND%20install%20and%20removal%20WIS.pdf

Once you have your antenna you will need to find a suitable location to mount it (magnetic). They are quite capable of picking up satellite signals through layers of plastic these days so mounting it on top of the instrument cluster (special tool required) is a popular option.

Good luck.

Ive got a new one you can have for a tenner plus delivery.
PM me
