Comand Help please, The thing don't know where it is!

Well I took the comand out and put the new GYRO in, which was easy enough, trouble is the problem is exactly the same. The car still thinks its about 100 yards behind where it actually is, and still thinks its off road all the time. Im getting between 5 and 8 sats still.

So what can I do? I have just been for a 25 minutes ride and done the location set thing but to no avail.

Solved!!

Just got back from Mark's (ALFIE) and my Comand is firing on all cylinders!

its now giving me orders and generally doing as its makers intended!. For future readers of this post, it was the navigation circuit board (I think ) in the end rather than the Gyro as first indicated, which Mark kindly changed for me - I would definately have broken it if I had tried - my fingers too fat for that sort of work.

Many, many thanks to Mark for his great service and help, very much appreciated indeed. He has even identified the probable cause of the intermitent CD changer issue (which sorted itself after I removed the Comand the first time) being a possibly loose blue connector into the back of the Comand.

Marks great reputation, is clearly very much deserved.

Do you do complete installations?
I would like to replace my Audio 20 for a Original
Mercedes CD/DVD + Sat Nav Unit...

I am from the Netherlands but live in Ireland and dont mind
comming to the UK as I dont see my self replacing the command unit.
To ask a MB dealer would be expencive I think...
