Comand NTG 2.5 .."sounds"..

I have nearly completed installing this Comand NTG 2.5 in my vehicle.

The only problem i've got now is " No Audio Sound"

The unit powers up o.k, plays all formats o.k, apart from hearing any Audio...

Any Ideas....

Your unit is configured for Harmon Kardon. There is something you can try but if it doesnt work you need the unit reprogrammed using STAR.

Edit: The procedure has been removed from the above FAQ so obviously it doesnt work but if you want to try it it used to say:

4. When I installed NTG2.5 there is no sound.
This is because the unit was configured for Harmon Kardon sound system, you need to find an independant with Star Diagnosis and the 'development' mode settings who is willing to try and reset the unit. There is a rumour that NTG2.5 can be set to default settings by doing the following: Turn off unit. Press and hold the ON button until it comes on and turns off again. Now Press and hold the ON button and at same time rotate volume control clockwise. When you hear a noise, release ON button. If this works for you please let us know.

Hi, I have just tried the rumour....interesting, when i released the on button while turning clockwise, i heard a sound through the speakers...but this has not yet solved the riddle, any more 4 any more....?

Like I said they must have removed it as it doesnt work. That rumour was most likely wrong and actually turning the volume knob does nothing. However holding the on button actually just resets the MOST bus as mentioned elsewhere in the FAQ.

Looks like you will need to have the unit reset by someone with STAR.
