Sorry everyone I know this must come up all the time and people get sick of answering the same questions but I really know jack about these comand systems and every time I search all I get is really complicated answers and I have no idea where to start.

1st question that will help in future googling is how do I know what system I have? I have a 2002 C32 - I was guessing at the comand 2.0?

2nd question that will hopefully keep me quiet for a while is, I was messing about with the TV tuner yesterday and notice it said Aux-1 and Aux-2. Where are these Aux ports? I did try to search but lots of people talk about them like they are well known to everyone. A few places said the TV tuner is in the boot on the left so after finding my phone unit and another little unit, (then getting distracted by a little thing that looks like it has something to do with my rear headrests and possibly something I could replace because mine don't drop), I found the TV tuner on the right hand side by the amp. I took it out looking for the phono connections people talk about but found none. Does this mean my tv tuner is so retro it doesn't have the option and the comand screen is just screwing with me to get my hopes up?

I use the Aux to play my iPod (the hole to plug it into, if that's what a port is, is in the glove box on mine). Mines a w211, though, so not sure if this helps in the slightest!

Have you checked the actual Comand unit, not 100% but may be that the input is on the rear of the head unit rather than the tv tuner

Hi sorry I mean the pre outs on the tv tuner so that you can plug in a DVD player or some other video source. I have been using the glove box preout for my phone but thought I would look in to getting a tv part up and running.

I did manage to find somewhere that basically Merc did two TV tuners a newer one with RCA inputs and my one ( A 220 820 15 97) uses MQS connector blocks. I have no idea what that means or where to go from here but im still looking.

On a plus note while taking the rear end my car apart I did manage to work out why my headrests did not drop. Now they do! so not a completely wasted day so far lol
