Comand removal procedure - help please

Hi all

Can anyone let me know where to find the guide to removing the comand unit from an '02 c-class please. Ie taking the console apart etc as I need to get it out to give it a clean up (cd sticking/not reading).

I've been looking for ages but can't seem to find it

Great link but... that's a face-lift model, the 02 version is a little different.
I will try to find the relevant thread and post back.

Remove gear lever surround.
Prise up wood/ali gear lever surround.
Remove ashtray (two clips at the front.
Underneath there are either two clips or two Torx 20 screws holding in the traim. Remove / unclip these.

Trim then prises off easily revealing the comand units four screws.

Easy - 5 minutes

As Alfie says but I think you will also need to remove the center air vents.
There are two torx screws holding it in place.

Yep, procedure is the same as that for the facelifted car.
