When I locked the car up this morning, I noticed that the Comand screen was still on.

I tried switching engine on, switching off and locking up again, but it made no difference. I also tried switching the Comand off manually, which it refused to do.

I went back to the car later on this morning and it had turned itself off.

Has anyone had this happen - is this in indication of some forthcoming doom or should I just right it off as one of the many quirks of MB? :dk:

Thanks

I have seen this before but mainly on W209 CLKs between Oct 2004 and early 2007 after a nav disk update.

The fix for those was to remove the fuse wait a couple of minutes and put the fuse back in.

Thanks for the reply - as I am learning, my car seems to be self-healing (for some things at least) and has not repeated this fault again.

It's going into the dealer on Monday anyway, so I will ask them to check there is not fault showing.

Thanks again
