Complete electronics failure on the CL

Spot on Satch, this was exactly what had failed. They replaced this and all was fine. Alternator itself was also fine.

Car's back now and all is good

All credit to Satch, so is this something we can all expect. Temperature related?? Is this a heat under the bonnet issue?

Ah, you will have to slow down a bit in Austria. Increasing numbers of quite stunningly pointless 50 and 80 kmh limits, in some places covering entire regions. All come complete with lurking local police with radar guns looking to fund the local Rathaus. Remember the Vignette. Came storming down from Munich & very nearly forgot last time.

Only about Eur.8 for 10 days but if you are stopped on a motorway without one that will be Eur.220 fine on the spot. Arrgh! The police do keep a sharp eye out for foreign cars: easy money!
