Computer phone scam

I.ve had 3 friends phone me today saing they have had people ringing them saying there puters have problems and are offering to fix them

They ask you to download a remote access programe.

Its a scam that was about a few months ago and seems to have reared its head again.I.ve heard they charge up tp £185.

Please be aware !!!!

They called me last week, I let them go on & on and then when they directed me to a site I said, "hang on til I fire up Safari" what they said, "Safari I said, on my Mac," They promptly hung on me. I actually use Firefox and was in the garden at the time.

I've had these clowns on the phone a few times. THe first time I went as far as downloading their remote access software. Did not like the sound of that so it stopped there.

A total stranger comes to your door and tells you there's been a lot of break-ins in the area. However if you give him your house keys he will pop in in the next few days and check your security-no you don't have to be in at the time.
