Just reading about this upcoming Telematics "Connect Me" adapter from Mercedes. If it connects to your phone by bluetooth from the OBD2 port, how will your phone connect to Audio 20/COMAND for normal phone functions? I'm not well up on phones but I'm sure you only get one bluetooth connection with a handset.

Given Apple does, i'd be surprised if Google did not.

Maybe but what about android?

My previous car had Audio 20 and it connected fine to Android phone that also connected to other bluetooth connection at same time i.e. Samsung Gear Fit

Notwithstanding the doubt as to functionality from a blue tooth perspective, Im a little surprised no one is talking about the actual functionality the new adaptor will offer to 'older' vehicles. Mine being a 2013 Im certainly looking forward to the GB release (not until at least Summer I was told when I called).
It will also be interesting what cost (hardware and subscription) it will come in at!

I don't think it's subscription.

It was recently launched without much fanfare. I've ordered a few, waiting for them to arrive - should have been today. Functionality is very limited with the adapter compared cars with Mercedes Me fully integrated with the car at the factory, but worth having. Or at least I'm hoping so.

We'll be waiting for Richard and others figuring out how to retrofit the communications module or the hermes module to obtain full functionality.
