Coolant temperature high

Picked my car up earlier and had to do a 60 mile round trip, and it's working perfectly now:D
It was a sensor that was at fault but because it's hard to change they also put in a new thermostat as well.
Only got 6 months left on my warranty it'll be 4 year old when this runs out.
Any ideas how much it would cost to extend the warranty for another year:confused:
Cheers

I know bugger all about engines, so you may well not even have one of these :D, but just had a similar problem on my BM. Temp was reading 100d within 10 mins of driving it.

Turned out to be a valve on the egr cooler. £110 fitted.

My cars been took to the dealers for a replacement pipe at the back of the engine to be fitted.
The guy from roadside assist found the leaks by fitting a presure tester and the camera on his mobile phone.
He actually video the pipe with the coolant leaking out of it. I'd of never thought to have done that.

Just got my car back today, the thermostat housing had a crack in it that didn't leak coolant till it was upto temperature. Thank goodness it's still under warranty.

So to make sure it's all OK I've just blasted it in sports mode up the A537 Buxton road, loads of bikers out on the Cat and Fiddle road, had a bit of fun with a guy on a nice Ducatti, my cars working like a dream again now:cool:
Cheers
