Hi all. I have a V-reg which has been to Merc for every service it has ever had, at the same dealer. I have just bought it privately.
It's got a bubble of paint half-way between the right-rear wheel and the rear of the car, next to the bumper. It's about the size of a finger nail.
Am I covered by any kind of warranty (or goodwill offers by Mercedes as a brand, trying to repair their image) to get the rust nipped in the bud? I just called another dealer who said it has an 8-year corrosion warranty, whilst the dealer it has always been taken to said it is only a 3-year warranty. Either way, if both are correct, I have a bill waiting for me sometime!
