sorry for the suspense!
Every person at the Marylebone court that day was a person(s) their for traffic/motoring offences.
The hearings were at 2pm and I was there at 1pm sharp. I had regestered with the list caller 1st etc etc... due to the GLMCA overloading courts a morning trial was still going on......
finally 4 hours later they started calling names out (mine was called out second to last) anyway lots of people came out disqualified, or 6-9 points and no one had a fine lower than £500 + court costs.
My speach was fantastic if I do say so myself and I managed to ONLY get 6 points plus a £130 fine and £35 costs - and even that I dont start paying till next month in 4 instalments!
as far as i'm concerned that was a RESULT!

The fine was very lenient… judging by court roundup in my local paper it could so easily have been £1000+!! What did you say to him to win him over?

Sounds great - I am not familair with the point system (luckily) - but the fine sounds like an extreme bargain (compared to what we get to pay here)...
