Monday afternoon work out for the little grey cells.

Cryptic clues to band/artist names from the last fifty years.

some are obvious, some less so and one ot two are real stinkers requiring a fair bit of lateral thought.

Enjoy

1, second starter finishes on multiple sevenths refusing to die

2, A pal seen in the festive season?

3, Jack (maybe) has his restful day

4, Not young nor the singular Charlie – there's more of them

5, Space travel for Thomas

6, Twelve historic pennies and a magical rabbit combined

7, Sounding like a stick before a Tudor follower

8, Back to magical characters (in a circular direction) this one has a mechanical device

9, Cinema tunes maybe but not film scores

10, LH and his crew sound most unwelcome

11, Who? and the team

12, An army butcher's daughter maybe? That would be amazing

13, Throw me some fruit

14, Met his end in Sarajevo

15, Having a ball on the wrong side of the tracks

16, The toil of soft cheese maybe? Certainly sounds that way.

17, 12's brother? – no that can't be right. This one's Dad was a miner

18, One sign of a cold and you'll be crying

19, Belief in the first man?

20, The existing state of affairs should be maintained

11 - Doctor and the Medics

Nearly half way there
