Thanks a lot, it would be great if you could come and at least have a look - give me your expert opinion!! I work just outside the airport on the Bath Road in the building adjacent to the McDonalds opposite the Renaissance Hotel. I finish my shift at 18:00 hours but will be willing to wait around if you could give me a time you will be in the area. Have you got a number I can contact you on?

That very much depends on what car you have!

You have a few options then, you could either buy a sport instrument cluster and replace the whole thing, or just pull the dials out of a sport cluster and swap with your own

Coxy, you're cluster dosent just unclip and slide apart, you will have to undo all the phillips screws on the back to take the guages out.

However, the cluster itself is a sealed unit, as the front lens cannot be removed...Unless you spend a lot of time with a stanley knife and a small flat screwdriver then re-bond it together anyway...

It is a right pain, the wooden facia with the chrome rings looks amazing and when the mechanic who tried to originally fit it broke the clear plastic cover on the dash and had to take it out I actually put the unit around the dials to see what it would look like and it looked great, but when they put a new unit in I had to put it back in the box. I may just have to settle with the chrome rings - it is a bit annoying to buy something from a website specialising in merc bits only to find you can't actually fit it!!

Is it possible to get just the ivory faced gauges and not the whole cluster? is there a part # just for the faces? or will i have to order the whole cluster?
I am from the states so i am a newbie and new to this forum...i also have a 99 230k..anyone willing to trade face gauges?

Can this mod be done to a pre-facelift C36 AMG? I quite fancy the white dials too, but I think my speedo goes higher than 140mph I'll have a look what it is after work....

... yeah, 160mph top speed on the clock, do they do a white dial option for this model?

koolvin the car u fitted these to is it pre / post facelift. Have looked at matrix car they say they only have them for after 96. and where did u get the dials from. Could do with getting me a set of those. Wicked mate

Just went out and double checked my dials. the speedo is also fully round unlike the one in the pic.

As an option would it be possible to fit the facelift dash by picking one up from a breakers. would the loom etc be different?

Or alternatively I would prefer just to get a fully round chrome speedo ring
